Have a restorative space
It can be an entire room or it can be a sofa or even a cushion in a corner.
This space is meant to be your refuge, where you can go to take a break when things get too much, where you can close your eyes and leave the outside world outside.
You can let others know that you'd prefer not to be disturbed when you are in this space.
I have found this practice comforting and when I'm in my restorative space I like to have blankets handy and comfy socks.
You can have your comfort tools of choice: eye mask, aromatherapy oils or crystals like rose quartz.
You can make yourself some tea or drink a large glass of water while you're in this space.
You can do other restorative things like meditation, listen to soothing music or just take a nap.
